Philip advises on matters covering banking and finance, corporate, commercial, funds and investment structures.
Philip joined the firm as a paralegal in November 2013 following experience working in property, criminal and trust litigation cases at local offshore law firms. Prior to that, he worked at one of the world's largest multinational banks as part of its remediation team. Whilst his path at Bedell Cristin started in Litigation, he actively moved to the financial services law department in 2014 and undertook a 6 month secondment in the Singapore office in 2015.
Currently based in Jersey, but given his Singapore experience, Philip provides 'out of hours support' with Asian matters, and cross-border support on mixed Asian and UK/US time zone deals and more broadly is able to support an array of deals, whether large multi-jurisdictional M&A matters, high profile corporate deals, or finance and lending transactions.
He completed a BA in politics at the University of Kent, whilst also studying Spanish and French, before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Plymouth. More recently Philip has completed his exams with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

“
We have worked with other offshore firms and find Bedells much more approachable, more readily accessible and commercial in their approach to our matters. Specifically we use Antony Clerehugh for Jersey work and Louise Hassell and Philip Kendall for BVI matters. We have a great working relationship with all these people and rarely look elsewhere for quotes etc.
