I trained in Jamaica first as a legal secretary and then became a paralegal. I have always worked in litigation roles covering numerous different types of commercial and civil disputes.
I moved to the Cayman islands in 2002 and joined Bedell Cristin in February 2004, first as a Legal Secretary and then I was promoted to the role of Paralegal in 2010 working in the Litigation team. My role involves support of the attorneys in the group by liaising with clients, court and opposing counsel, initial drafts of communications and documents, document management, research and matter administration. The Litigation team focuses on Insolvency and Restructuring, Commercial Litigation, Trust disputes and Regulatory and Regulatory Enforcement (including employment, immigration, business licensing, data protection and financial regulation)
