
Gabriel Adedeji is an English and BVI Barrister and heads our Dispute Resolution and Litigation team in the BVI. Gabriel represents clients including financial institutions, IPs, corporates and HNWs in a full range of insolvency, commercial, civil and regulatory disputes.
He is an experienced trial advocate and regularly appears before the BVI Commercial Court and the ECSC Court of Appeal, as well as Arbitral Tribunals.
Gabriel advises on enforcement proceedings, third-party disclosure applications (Norwich Pharmacal and Bankers Trust), liquidation applications, winding up petitions, domestic and world-wide freezing injunctions, and on regulatory matters including Sanctions, AML, TIEAs, Financial Services Commission regulation and International Tax Authority matters.
Gabriel was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2012 and practised at the Insolvency Service and subsequently at 3 Paper Buildings in Inner Temple, primarily as a Civil and Regulatory Barrister, before moving offshore in 2022. He regularly appeared in a variety of interim applications, trials and appeals in the County Court, High Court, English Court of Appeal, as well as numerous regulatory and disciplinary tribunals. He also has extensive experience in relation to insolvency offences, directors’ duties and enforcement proceedings, including restraint, confiscation and forfeiture orders. Gabriel worked for a major offshore law firm in the BVI, before joining Bedell Cristin as Counsel in 2025.
